About

A little bit about Stu Harris

Technology and greater access to information make the role of a photographer more exciting today than any other time in history. At the same time the volume of stories being shared and things designed to distract us and demand our attention are greater than ever. International news stories compete side-by-side against the musings of the opinionated blogger. Production values are increasing, deadlines shrinking and the demand for content is continuing to grow.

Stu Harris Photography specialises in capturing stories worth sharing and develops strategies for increasing their visibility in a demanding and competitive environment.

Stu is a full member of the ACMP (Australian Commercial and Media Photographers). Read his profile here.

What others say

Stuart has been really helpful to me over the years. He has a wealth of knowledge of technology and it’s application, a great eye for photography, but more importantly he has the business skills and professionalism to deliver the projects he undertakes. A great example of this was his book “Love in Action”. I was impressed with how he handled every aspect of it’s evolution, from the taking of the photographs through to the marketing of the finished product. Stuart just recently assisted me on a week long photographic workshop with a group of 30 photography enthusiasts. It was a real pleasure to work with him, as he bought so many skills to the event. He has a gift for explaining complex concepts in a simple way whilst maintaining a good rapport with people. Stuart is trustworthy and can adapt in all sorts of situations, for example, from changing a tyre in a remote aboriginal community, through to developing software applications.
I have no hesitation in recommending Stuart, who I look forward to working with in the future on other projects.

I am writing to extend my sincere thank you for your donation of “Love in Action” books for Manly Council’s International Women’s Day event held on Monday 8 March 2010 at the Manly Phoenix Restaurant. The event attracted many women from all over the Norhtern Beaches. These women who were from a variety of backgrounds enjoyed a very pleasant and successful International Women’s Day celebration. Your donation of the books contributed towards the support of the Manly-Manado Partnership. Proceeds from the morning will be given to their Compassion Child Survival Program.
